Augusto Mansilha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Octávio Raminhos having to interfere. Fabiano Neiva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nuno Frois in the 10th minute of play. Emanuel Veloso's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 12thth minute, Octávio Raminhos skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 17th minute of the game Saúl Flores made a throw-in which Alfredo Vilaça played forward. Hamilton Matos might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Octávio Raminhos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hamilton Matos ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Blue Dragon FC's zone, Emanuel Veloso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Octávio Raminhos came out of the goal and Emanuel Veloso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fabiano Neiva didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hugo Lousada went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Emanuel Veloso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 36th minute of the match Ronaldo Monsanto shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fabiano Neiva showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 39th minute, Bento Torcato hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emanuel Veloso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Emanuel Veloso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emanuel Veloso was the one to do the kick off. When Atlânticos FC's Emanuel Veloso in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Atlânticos FC's Hamilton Matos quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 76 minutes into the match, Blue Dragon FC's goal looked a bit too open when Emanuel Veloso came free, but Octávio Raminhos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bento Regalado kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. If Emanuel Veloso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Octávio Raminhos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel Veloso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
