Danilo Guterres kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. In the 5th minute, Benfica de Belas's Fabiano Rebocho dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. The audience was convinced that Paulino Eiró's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jacob Tavares was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. With his leg Miguel Trigueiro managed to avoid a goal in the 13thth minute, when Benfica de Belas's Jesualdo Garcez fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Jacob Tavares came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Fuinhas's Gusmão Portela. But to his dismay, Gusmão Portela quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 24th minute, Gusmão Portela got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gusmão Portela in the 30th minute of play forced Benfica de Belas's goalkeeper Jacob Tavares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st match minute, Benfica de Belas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Humberto Sobral to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of SC Fuinhas booed when Benfica de Belas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Belchior Montenegro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 35th minute, Danilo Guterres made a precise shot to the right of Jacob Tavares. Benfica de Belas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Jacob Tavares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danilo Guterres in the 45th minute of play. In the 48th minute Danilo Guterres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacob Tavares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half SC Fuinhas were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jesualdo Garcez made a kick off. Danilo Guterres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Jacob Tavares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gusmão Portela sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Paulino Eiró came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the SC Fuinhas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulino Eiró couldn't finish the play. Miguel Trigueiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jesualdo Garcez, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Gusmão Portela hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. 63 minutes into the match, SC Fuinhas's goal looked a bit too open when Jesualdo Garcez came free, but Miguel Trigueiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 68th minute, Laureano Rebocho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 71 minutes into the match, SC Fuinhas's Paulino Eiró sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jacob Tavares narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jacob Tavares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Danilo Guterres, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Paulino Eiró fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacob Tavares having to interfere. With an all-out effort, SC Fuinhas's Jacob Tavares threw himself towards the right post 82 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Danilo Guterres, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. A collision led to SC Fuinhas getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Gusmão Portela hit a great ball. In the 88th minute, Paulino Eiró got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 91st minute Danilo Guterres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacob Tavares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. SC Fuinhas had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
