The audience thought a goal was coming when Aristides Viana got free with Fabiano Neiva in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 31st minute, Aristides Viana left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vareiros FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Emanuel Veloso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Emanuel Lameirinhas fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vareiros FC's protests and gave Emanuel Lameirinhas a yellow card for diving instead. After 36 played minutes Vareiros FC got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Lameirinhas. In the 38th minute of the match Samuel Fraga shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Beniamin Kaznocha showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Emanuel Veloso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Emanuel Veloso to strike the kick off in the second half. Bozhil Kaldarúmov charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bozhil Kaldarúmov the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Atlânticos FC reached it. After 62 played minutes Emanuel Veloso rounded Vareiros FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-3. In the 65th minute, Emanuel Veloso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Beniamin Kaznocha was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-4. 73 minutes into the match, Emanuel Veloso had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Beniamin Kaznocha. Vareiros FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emanuel Veloso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-5. 82 minutes into the match, Atlânticos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Aristides Viana came free, but Fabiano Neiva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Beniamin Kaznocha was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 97th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Samuel Fraga. Atlânticos FC played a much better game than Vareiros FC and deserved their victory. The Vareiros FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
