Spectators: 7662 (Terracing: 5751, Seating: 1764, VIP seats: 147) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Rui Gueifão got the match started through his kick off. Rui Gueifão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacob Calado having to interfere. When the match clock showed 6 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Rui Gueifão sped through Amantes Latinos's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jacob Calado. The audience thought a goal was coming when Manuel Eiró got free with Jacob Calado in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Amantes Latinos's Paulo Caldeira got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Reginaldo Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Paulo Leite tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Manuel Eiró's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jacob Calado read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. Salvador Dantas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Armando Aleixo kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. After 37 played minutes, Amantes Latinos's Aprígio Brites shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Paulo Leite came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Amantes Latinos reached it. Manuel Eiró sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Paulo Leite was a little too slow when Paulo Caldeira got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 51st minute. The score was now 1-1. Paulo Caldeira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Manuel Eiró scored 2-1 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jacob Calado, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 71 minutes into the game, Armando Aleixo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Arcangel's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Amantes Latinos the free kick. Armando Aleixo hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. If Rui Gueifão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Paulo Caldeira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paulo Leite was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. Jacob Calado didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Manuel Eiró went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. In the 91st minute Hermenegildo Brandão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacob Calado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arcangel's Manuel Eiró got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rui Gueifão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Jacob Calado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Arcangel had won after a very even match.
