Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Bruno Costa started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. If Pedro Barroso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlos Peseiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Barroso in the 4th minute of the match. After 8 played minutes GD Chaves got a freekick which was hit by Aldo Montenegro. 10 minutes into the match, Hélder Fontes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gregório Bentes. GD Chaves's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hélder Fontes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Carlos Peseiro made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Romão Quinaz sent off a good shot on target. Gregório Bentes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruno Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cássio Noronha charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cássio Noronha the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Carlos Peseiro made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Israel Caeiro sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Romão Quinaz got free with Carlos Peseiro in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Luso FC's Carlos Peseiro got control of the ball when Romão Quinaz tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 26 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Luso FC! Carlos Peseiro had in the 29thth minute some difficulties stopping Belchior Ribeiro's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After some careless play in the Luso FC defense, Belchior Ribeiro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carlos Peseiro. The Luso FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carlos Peseiro should have stopped the shot. Bruno Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Gregório Bentes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 33rd minute, Murilo Melo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hélder Fontes hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Murilo Melo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Peseiro having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruno Costa in the 41st minute of play forced GD Chaves's goalkeeper Gregório Bentes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 44 minutes into the match, Pedro Barroso dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Carlos Peseiro, 2-1. Carlos Peseiro came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by GD Chaves's Pedro Barroso. But to his dismay, Pedro Barroso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pedro Barroso to strike the kick off in the second half. Aldo Montenegro hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. In the 58th minute, one of GD Chaves:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for GD Chaves. GD Chaves:s Gregório Bentes showed great skill when he stopped Isac Guarda:s penalty. The supporters of GD Chaves booed when Luso FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adão Campos didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 65th match minute, Luso FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isac Guarda to maneuver through the defense. Belchior Ribeiro, 67 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Carlos Peseiro came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by GD Chaves's Murilo Melo. But to his dismay, Murilo Melo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. Carlos Peseiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romão Quinaz in the 83rd minute of play. 84 minutes into the game, Murilo Melo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. GD Chaves's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Luso FC the free kick. GD Chaves's Gregório Bentes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save GD Chaves from getting a goal against them. Carlos Peseiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Romão Quinaz went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 5-2 was the resulting score. Belchior Ribeiro was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 98th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Gregório Bentes was a little too slow when Bruno Costa got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 100th minute. The score was now 5-3. GD Chaves's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
