In the 5th minute, Rui Gueifão fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Hugo Vilalobos, passed just outside the right post. Hugo Vilalobos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hermenegildo Brandão in the 7th minute of play. 8 minutes into the match, Arcangel's goal looked a bit too open when Lucas Assunção came free, but Paulo Leite reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Arcangel getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Angelo Gois hit a great ball. Eurico Conde struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Paulo Leite didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Malandros Unidos CF. The audience thought a goal was coming when Manuel Eiró got free with Hugo Vilalobos in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 16 minutes into the match, Rui Gueifão dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Hugo Vilalobos, 1-0. 22 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Arcangel's Manuel Eiró fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. If Manuel Eiró had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lucas Assunção received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Paulo Leite tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Malandros Unidos CF's Ilídio Palmeira in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Arcangel's goalie prevented a goal. 32 minutes into the match, Malandros Unidos CF's Lucas Assunção sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Paulo Leite narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 35 played minutes Arcangel got a freekick which was hit by Norberto Avelar. After a defensive mix-up in Arcangel's zone, Ilídio Palmeira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulo Leite came out of the goal and Ilídio Palmeira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arcangel's Paulo Leite played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucas Assunção in the 38th minute of play. After having played for 42 minutes, Lucas Assunção managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Malandros Unidos CF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucas Assunção was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Paulo Leite showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucas Assunção, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Ilídio Palmeira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Leite having to interfere. Paulo Leite made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucas Assunção in the 47th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Hugo Vilalobos came out of the goal in the 51st minute to try and stop a shot by Arcangel's Manuel Eiró. But to his dismay, Manuel Eiró quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. After 54 played minutes Malandros Unidos CF got a freekick which was hit by Lucas Assunção. Lucas Assunção struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Paulo Leite didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Malandros Unidos CF. Ilídio Palmeiras short, quick shot in the 59thth minute got Paulo Leite to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Hugo Vilalobos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Eiró in the 61st minute of play. Paulo Leite made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ilídio Palmeira in the 63rd minute. Malandros Unidos CF's Hugo Vilalobos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hermenegildo Brandão in the 66th minute of play. Hugo Vilalobos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel Eiró, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. In the 79th minute, Ilídio Palmeira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Paulo Leite was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. A hard shot 86 in the game by Lucas Assunção from a close distance when the talented Paulo Leite managed to make a qualified save. Arcangel's players were relieved. Hugo Vilalobos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel Eiró, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. With a little luck, Arcangel's Paulo Leite got control of the ball when Lucas Assunção tried to sneak it across the goal line. 96 minutes into the game, Rui Gueifão was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Arcangel's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Malandros Unidos CF the free kick. After 96 played minutes Arcangel got a freekick which was hit by Rui Gueifão. When the referee blew the final whistle, Arcangel could leave the field as winners, despite Malandros Unidos CF having more of the ball for most of the match.
