An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Guimarães in the 3rd minute of play forced FC Louros's goalkeeper Angélico França to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Caio Quintela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 23 minutes into the match, Severino Pádua notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of FC Louros's Angélico França. Angélico França was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Angélico França showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Simão Bezerra, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Severino Pádua managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guarda FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Severino Pádua was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Angélico França breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 38th minute, FC Louros's Adolfo Vilanova ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Caio Quintela. Caio Quintela yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Caio Quintela made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Paulo Prestes sent off a good shot on target. FC Louros were awarded a corner in the 47th minute after Guarda FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Fernando Mourato took the corner. After taking down the ball on FC Louros's corner Fernando Mourato fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Caio Quintela quite easily take care of the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Severino Pádua to make the kick off. Eusébio Barroso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience was convinced that Paulo Prestes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Caio Quintela was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Paulo Prestes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, FC Louros's Angélico França got control of the ball when Simão Bezerra tried to sneak it across the goal line. Severino Pádua struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute.
