The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute, José Azenha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 7 played minutes Kloop Team got a freekick which was hit by Dimas Rijo. 8 minutes in the game, Jaime Quinaz dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Quinaz in the 14th minute of play forced Kloop Team's goalkeeper Ivan Guerra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kloop Team's Isidoro Quintanilha suffered a concussion after 19 minutes and had to leave the field. When Teófilo Taveira fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Giraldes's protests and gave Teófilo Taveira a yellow card for diving instead. Ivan Guerra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laurentino Calado, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Rafael Dantas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 38 minutes into the game, Artur Albuquerque recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Angelo Saldanha. Artur Albuquerque showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Angelo Saldanha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafael Dantas in the 45th minute of the match. 48 minutes into the game, Rafael Dantas lined in a short shot 3-0 behind a frustrated Angelo Saldanha.

The wind increased when Rafael Dantas made the kick off in the second half. Cristiano Padilha hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Giraldes's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Emanuel Veiga in the 59th minute. Artur Albuquerque fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelo Saldanha having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Rafael Dantas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Angelo Saldanha was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. Ivan Guerra made an important save on a dangerous shot by Laurentino Calado in the 68th minute. 79 minutes into the game, Valério Miranda was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Giraldes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kloop Team the free kick. Angelo Saldanha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafael Dantas, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. If Laurentino Calado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85th minute, Giraldes's Jaime Quinaz ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ivan Guerra. Ivan Guerra yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-1. Artur Albuquerque sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After recieving a nice pass, Kloop Team's Vítor Calado tried to score from far away in the 95th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After 96 played minutes Kloop Team got a freekick which was hit by Dimas Rijo. Laurentino Calado could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 98th minute of the match, but Ivan Guerra made a huge save. For all the effort they put into the match, the Giraldes players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Kloop Team.
