Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Abílio Teixeira started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. When Américo Lencastre came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Galáticos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Américo Lencastre couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rodolfo Ferraz got free with Alex Ponte in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Abílio Cunha's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rui Abreu was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abílio Cunha in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rui Abreu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 18 minutes into the match, Galáticos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Abílio Teixeira came free, but Alex Ponte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 20 minutes into the game, Manuel Mendes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Alex Ponte was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Abílio Cunha might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rui Abreu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Abílio Cunha ran back to his position shaking his head. Galáticos FC's Alex Ponte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Mendes in the 25th minute of play. If Abílio Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 30 minutes, Albertino Mourão mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ATito and the Galáticos FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 30th minute, Albertino Mourão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 33rd minute Abílio Teixeira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex Ponte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nicolas Peralta's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Alex Ponte firmly grabbed it by the left post. The supporters of ATito booed when Galáticos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabrício Fagundes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abílio Cunha might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rui Abreu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Abílio Cunha ran back to his position shaking his head. Cristóvão Castro hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Abílio Cunha was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th match minute, ATito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristóvão Castro to maneuver through the defense. Alex Ponte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicolas Peralta in the 59th minute of the match. 62 minutes into the match, Galáticos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nicolas Peralta came free, but Alex Ponte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abílio Cunha kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 65thth minute. Though ot was a great shot ATito's keeper Rui Abreu was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Jacinto Vilas Boas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 68th minute, Diogo Sá fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Alex Ponte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicolas Peralta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cláudio Ribas kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Mendes in the 79th minute of play forced Galáticos FC's goalkeeper Alex Ponte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alex Ponte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abílio Teixeira in the 82nd minute of play. When Galáticos FC's Abílio Cunha in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye ATito's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abílio Teixeira in the 85th minute of play forced Galáticos FC's goalkeeper Alex Ponte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alex Ponte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicolas Peralta, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. After 88 played minutes Galáticos FC got a freekick which was hit by Jacinto Vilas Boas. In the 89th minute of the match Júlio Estrela shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alex Ponte showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 93rd minute, ATito's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Jacinto Vilas Boas fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 94th minute, Rodolfo Ferraz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The ATito fans cheered their team off the field, for while Galáticos FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
