Rapijais FC's Gil Vidigal came free and shot a quick shot against goal 17 minutes in the game, fortunately Nivaldo Lucena had problems saving as it came toward the left post. João Eanes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Odivelas FC booed when Rapijais FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Óscar Figueira didn't get a good kick on the ball. 22 minutes into the game, Odivelas FC's João Eanes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Telmo Ramalho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. When Noel Quintanilha came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Odivelas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Noel Quintanilha couldn't finish the play. Odivelas FC's João Eanes got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gil Vidigal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Nivaldo Lucena made a huge save. Óscar Belém was extremely unlucky when he, in the 43rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 46th match minute, Rapijais FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by António Cruz to maneuver through the defense. If João Eanes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Rapijais FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Odivelas FC were winning 0-1.
