Belchior Leite made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardo Monteiro in the 4th minute of play. In the 6th match minute, Sport Terceira e Benfica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabrício Bezerra to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bernardo Monteiro in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Belchior Leite saved Sport Terceira e Benfica from getting behind. Bernardo Monteiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Belchior Leite tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abílio Corte-Real made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdemar Lameirinhas in the 15th minute of play. Belchior Leite showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saúl Gentil in the 17th minute of the match. After 19 minutes, Virgílio Araújo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sport Terceira e Benfica and the FC Tugalions players grew even worse after the yellow card. Virgílio Araújo hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Fabrício Bezerra kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Belchior Leite took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lázaro Amado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Bernardo Monteiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 31 minutes into the game, Cristiano Marques was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Tugalions's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sport Terceira e Benfica the free kick. After 33 minutes of play, FC Tugalions's Bernardo Monteiro made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Belchior Leite was left in no man's land by his defense there! The FC Tugalions fans' excitement grew in the 39th match minute when FC Tugalions's Hamilton Póvoas looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Belchior Leite took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardo Monteiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 44th minute of the match FC Tugalions got a corner. Sport Terceira e Benfica's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lázaro Amado ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on FC Tugalions's corner Lázaro Amado fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Belchior Leite quite easily take care of the ball. When FC Tugalions's Hamilton Póvoas in the 47th minute got a chance for a shot 47th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sport Terceira e Benfica's goalie prevented a goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bernardo Monteiro made a kick off. Belchior Leite showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Saúl Gentil, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. The nice shot from Bernardo Monteiro in the 54thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Belchior Leite had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. If Hamilton Póvoas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Belchior Leite showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hamilton Póvoas in the 58th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Valdemar Lameirinhas during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Valdemar Lameirinhas hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Hamilton Póvoas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Belchior Leite having to interfere. Belchior Leite made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bernardo Monteiro in the 66th minute. If Valdemar Lameirinhas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 73 played minutes FC Tugalions got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Assis. After 74 played minutes, Sport Terceira e Benfica's Laureano Carreira shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Abílio Corte-Real came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sport Terceira e Benfica reached it. In the 75th minute, Hamilton Póvoas fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Belchior Leite made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Lázaro Amado sent off a good shot on target. Hamilton Póvoas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Sport Terceira e Benfica fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. FC Tugalions were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
