If Américo Lencastre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tiago Belém sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. António Cruz's late challenge caught a Galáticos FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. António Cruz helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Galáticos FC booed when Rapijais FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. António Cruz didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Galáticos FC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Diogo Sá hit a great ball. With his leg Telmo Ramalho managed to avoid a goal in the 24thth minute, when Galáticos FC's Abílio Cunha fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Tiago Belém struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Telmo Ramalho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Galáticos FC. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Abílio Cunha in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Telmo Ramalho saved Rapijais FC from getting behind. Abílio Cunha in the 30thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Telmo Ramalho, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Abílio Cunha had several of the Rapijais FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 41 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 3-0 score and a disappointed Telmo Ramalho as he didn't even see the shot coming. Alex Ponte came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Rapijais FC's Adélio Torcato. But to his dismay, Adélio Torcato quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. 47 minutes into the game, Cláudio Ribas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Galáticos FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rapijais FC the free kick. Cláudio Ribas kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Óscar Belém made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Óscar Belém in the 55th minute of play forced Galáticos FC's goalkeeper Alex Ponte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rapijais FC's Telmo Ramalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hugo Brandão in the 57th minute of play.
