But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Diogo Sá couldn't finish the play. Américo Lencastre charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Tiago Júdice made the kick off in the second half. Jacinto Vilas Boas struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Joakim Hørk didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Galáticos FC. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antero Madruga got free with Alex Ponte in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 53 played minutes Galáticos FC got a freekick which was hit by Diamantino Trindade. Vítor Ferrão hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. In the 64th minute, one of Penaventosa FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Penaventosa FC. When Galáticos FC's Abílio Cunha in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abílio Cunha in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joakim Hørk prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Abílio Cunha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Galáticos FC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Cláudio Ribas hit a great ball. Alex Ponte was a little too slow when Antero Madruga got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 82nd minute. The score was now 0-2. After some careless play in the Penaventosa FC defense, Jacinto Vilas Boas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joakim Hørk. The Penaventosa FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joakim Hørk should have stopped the shot. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
