Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Hugo Poças took the kick off in the first half of the match. Red Star Monção's Osvaldo Alvarenga proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Red Star Monção from getting a goal against them. Silvério Rios showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from John Wayne in the 6th minute of the match. 14 minutes in the game, Januário Candal fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Osvaldo Alvarenga having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by John Wayne in the 18th minute of play forced HR TEAM's goalkeeper Silvério Rios to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Osvaldo Alvarenga made an important save on a dangerous shot by Januário Candal in the 20th minute. Silvério Rios made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodoro Lameiras in the 25th minute of play. When Américo Carneiro fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored HR TEAM's protests and gave Américo Carneiro a yellow card for diving instead. In the 30th minute of the match Lourenço Vieira shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Silvério Rios showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Teodoro Lameiras hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. In the 39th minute, Januário Candal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Osvaldo Alvarenga was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Januário Candal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for John Wayne to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes of play HR TEAM's Américo Carneiro was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to HR TEAM getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Américo Carneiro hit a great ball. Teodoro Lameiras sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Through an outstanding action, after 56 minutes, Silvério Rios successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Januário Candal hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Red Star Monção's Teodoro Lameiras couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 67th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for HR TEAM. With a little luck, HR TEAM's Silvério Rios got control of the ball when Teodoro Lameiras tried to sneak it across the goal line. Red Star Monção's Osvaldo Alvarenga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorge Bulhosa in the 76th minute of play. Hugo Poças recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Osvaldo Alvarenga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Januário Candal, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Hugo Poças managed to get in a good position for a shot. HR TEAM's supporters rose to their feet, but Hugo Poças was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Osvaldo Alvarenga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Osvaldo Alvarenga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hugo Poças, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. There was no doubt that HR TEAM were the better team. HR TEAM's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
