Marcelo Rijo's late challenge caught a Barb0za FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcelo Rijo helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Pereirinhas 's Marcelo Rijo got a free kick in the 41st minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Matias Bentes was the one to do the kick off. Matias Bentes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 55th minute Matias Bentes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Salvador França saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amado Palmeira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
