Joaquim Guarda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 42nd minute Zeferino Ramos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vítor Lisboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 45 minutes, Vítor Lisboa successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post.

The audience was convinced that Abel Moreno's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vítor Lisboa was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. The supporters of Estoril-Praia FC booed when Leça da Palmeira F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Salvador Nogueira didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 70th minute, Jerónimo Távora got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 72 minutes into the match, Estoril-Praia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Abel Moreno came free, but Vítor Lisboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vítor Lisboa was left in no man's land by his defense there! Vítor Lisboa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abel Moreno's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. Abel Moreno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Bernardo Corte-Real's late challenge caught a Leça da Palmeira F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bernardo Corte-Real helped the player get up and apologised. Bernardo Corte-Real hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. In the 92nd minute, Alcides Gomes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Leça da Palmeira F.C had played much better football throughout.
