Borralhoso FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Severiano Frois was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. 32 minutes into the match, Mancos Unidos's goalkeeper Vasco Pinheiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adolfo Sales. Ronaldo Jesus was extremely unlucky when he, in the 34th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severiano Frois in the 45th minute of play forced Borralhoso FC's goalkeeper Gusmão Barros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Teófilo Poças received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Gusmão Barros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ronaldo Jesus was the one to do the kick off. In the 56th match minute, Borralhoso FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juvenal Soeiro to maneuver through the defense. Mancos Unidos's Ricardo Ponte couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 56th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Borralhoso FC. Ricardo Ponte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ronaldo Jesus took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vasco Pinheiro. Vasco Pinheiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. When Adolfo Sales came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Borralhoso FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adolfo Sales couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ronaldo Jesus in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vasco Pinheiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 75 played minutes Mancos Unidos got a freekick which was hit by Sálvio Barcelos. Mancos Unidos were furious when Alexandre Damásio was red carded, 80 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Mancos Unidos fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 80th minute. Penalty! After a defensive mix-up in Mancos Unidos's zone, Adolfo Sales stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vasco Pinheiro came out of the goal and Adolfo Sales tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vasco Pinheiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronaldo Jesus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 92nd minute Ronaldo Jesus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vasco Pinheiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Ricardo Ponte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
