Diamantino Figueiras started the match with the kick off. If Adelino Lopes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Aldaír Trigueiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diamantino Figueiras in the 6th minute of play. In the 7th play minute Afonso Antunes came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Aldaír Trigueiro. 1-0. In the 11th match minute, TORRESIBA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo Reis to maneuver through the defense. Lourenço Pinheiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adelino Lopes in the 15th minute of the match. TORRESIBA were furious when Adriano Poças was red carded, 18 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 20th minute there was a penalty for G.D. 1º de Maio. Nivaldo Caneira stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Lourenço Pinheiro. 1-1. Afonso Antunes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aldaír Trigueiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. TORRESIBA's Lourenço Pinheiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaime Amaral in the 26th minute of play. In the 32ndth minute of the game Joaquim Ruas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but TORRESIBA's Lourenço Pinheiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Lourenço Pinheiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joaquim Ruas went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. 40 minutes into the match, Nuno Bacelar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lourenço Pinheiro. TORRESIBA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nuno Bacelar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. If Adelino Lopes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 2-3 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joaquim Ruas to strike the kick off in the second half. Jaime Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aldaír Trigueiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Afonso Antunes in the 57th minute of the match. Lourenço Pinheiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joaquim Ruas in the 58th minute. TORRESIBA's Lourenço Pinheiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquim Ruas in the 61st minute of play. Lourenço Pinheiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adelino Lopes, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Aldaír Trigueiro came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by TORRESIBA's Afonso Antunes. But to his dismay, Afonso Antunes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. Afonso Antunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aldaír Trigueiro having to interfere. In the 76th match minute, TORRESIBA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Óscar Fraga to maneuver through the defense. 79 minutes into the match, TORRESIBA's goal looked a bit too open when Adelino Lopes came free, but Lourenço Pinheiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afonso Antunes in the 82nd minute of play forced G.D. 1º de Maio's goalkeeper Aldaír Trigueiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Norberto Vargas made in the 83rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Jaime Amaral however managed to control. In the 87th minute, G.D. 1º de Maio's Joaquim Ruas dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-4. TORRESIBA's attentive Paulo Reis managed to snatch the ball when Rui Quinaz made a throw-in in the 90th minute of the game. Afonso Antunes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aldaír Trigueiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. 93 minutes into the match, G.D. 1º de Maio's goal looked a bit too open when Afonso Antunes came free, but Aldaír Trigueiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joaquim Ruas got free with Lourenço Pinheiro in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The G.D. 1º de Maio players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
