The SC Cortinhas fans' excitement grew in the 24th match minute when SC Cortinhas's Lázaro Azevedo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Leonel Júdice made in the 27th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by SC Cortinhas's Jerónimo Barros. Timóteo Amorim came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by São Francisco FC86's Ronaldo Pinheiro. But to his dismay, Ronaldo Pinheiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. 32 minutes into the match, Ronaldo Pinheiro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Timóteo Amorim. Ronaldo Pinheiro kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Lázaro Azevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Cortinhas's supporters rose to their feet, but Lázaro Azevedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mauro Castilho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jerónimo Barros kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. In the 44th minute, SC Cortinhas's Lázaro Azevedo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Mauro Castilho. Mauro Castilho yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-3. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ronaldo Pinheiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Timóteo Amorim was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. São Francisco FC86's Ronaldo Pinheiro managed to work through SC Cortinhas's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. The supporters of SC Cortinhas booed when São Francisco FC86 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronaldo Pinheiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Although SC Cortinhas had been in control for most of the match, São Francisco FC86 still came away with the win.
