With his leg Julião Vidigal managed to avoid a goal in the 2ndth minute, when Beira Mar SC's David De Boeck fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by David De Boeck in the 5th minute of play forced NewBarcel's goalkeeper Julião Vidigal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 7 minutes, David De Boeck put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Julião Vidigal. When Beira Mar SC's David De Boeck in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye NewBarcel's goalie prevented a goal. A hard shot 15 in the game by David De Boeck from a close distance when the talented Julião Vidigal managed to make a qualified save. NewBarcel's players were relieved. Ciccio Mascia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Beira Mar SC getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Aparício Machado hit a great ball. NewBarcel's Julião Vidigal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David De Boeck in the 30th minute of play. Beira Mar SC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by David De Boeck in the 34th minute. The corner led to Beira Mar SC's Olavo Taveira getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. David De Boeck's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 39thth minute, Julião Vidigal skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Ciccio Mascia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Julião Vidigal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 43rd minute David De Boeck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julião Vidigal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Beira Mar SC fans' excitement grew in the 44th match minute when Beira Mar SC's David De Boeck looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

Julião Vidigal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hipólito Amado in the 63rd minute of play. 67 minutes into the game, David De Boeck cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Julião Vidigal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Beira Mar SC made a substitution. Tarcísio Bento replaced Telmo Pires. In the 72nd minute, Leal Aires hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Julião Vidigal came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by Beira Mar SC's David De Boeck. But to his dismay, David De Boeck quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. 82 minutes into the game, Beira Mar SC's David De Boeck nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julião Vidigal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 9-0. Aparício Machado charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aparício Machado the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Sálvio Vilas Boas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Januário Vieira in the 94th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leal Aires in the 96th minute of play forced Beira Mar SC's goalkeeper Sálvio Vilas Boas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Beira Mar SC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
