A collision led to São Francisco FC86 getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Leonel Júdice hit a great ball. When Hipólito Amado came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Beira Mar SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hipólito Amado couldn't finish the play. Sálvio Vilas Boas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronaldo Pinheiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Mauro Castilho came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Beira Mar SC's David De Boeck. But to his dismay, David De Boeck quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Mauro Castilho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ciccio Mascia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sálvio Vilas Boas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldo Pinheiro in the 39th minute of play. Jorge Maltez hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Sálvio Vilas Boas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronaldo Pinheiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Alexandre Torcato hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Ronaldo Pinheiro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sálvio Vilas Boas having to make a save. Beira Mar SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but David De Boeck was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 87 minutes of play, São Francisco FC86's Ronaldo Pinheiro made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sálvio Vilas Boas was left in no man's land by his defense there! Beira Mar SC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
