Manhente FC's Erasmo Fernendo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artur Horta in the 12th minute of play. In the 17th minute, Artur Horta made a precise shot to the right of Erasmo Fernendo. Manhente FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The audience was convinced that Artur Horta's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Erasmo Fernendo was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. 63 minutes into the match, Artur Horta had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Erasmo Fernendo. Manhente FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Artur Horta was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. Zeferino Avelar hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Rubim Peralta kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. The União Caparica supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing União Caparica would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
