In the 6th minute, Ingvar Tunander ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zarco Couto was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Alípio Lemos charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alípio Lemos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 10 played minutes Homer FC got a freekick which was hit by Alípio Lemos. Zarco Couto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ingvar Tunander, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. A sloppy throw-in by Alípio Lemos in the 16th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by PaxTeam FC's Heitor Camacho. In the 17th match minute, Homer FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hermenegildo Corte-Real to maneuver through the defense. In the 20th minute, Gastão Neves made a precise shot to the right of Zarco Couto. Homer FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. 24 minutes into the match, Ingvar Tunander had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zarco Couto. Homer FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ingvar Tunander was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. In the 27thth minute of the game Bernard Pieprz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but PaxTeam FC's Dreas Goffyn was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 29 minutes into the match, Homer FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gastão Neves came free, but Zarco Couto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Homer FC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Óscar Granja hit a great ball. Zarco Couto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ingvar Tunander, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Homer FC's goalkeeper Zarco Couto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of PaxTeam FC booed when Homer FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudemiro Palha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Homer FC's Hermenegildo Corte-Real got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ingvar Tunander took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zarco Couto. Zarco Couto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jacob Veríssimo was the one to do the kick off. When Ingvar Tunander came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the PaxTeam FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ingvar Tunander couldn't finish the play. Dreas Goffyn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Norberto Fraga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 58 minutes into the game, Raul Coelho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. PaxTeam FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Homer FC the free kick. After 59 played minutes PaxTeam FC got a freekick which was hit by Raul Coelho. In the 61st minute, Augusto Caetano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 64 minutes into the match, Raul Coelho notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of Homer FC's Zarco Couto. Zarco Couto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 66th minute, Valdemar Maltez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zarco Couto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raul Coelho in the 70th minute of the match. Gastão Neves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Zarco Couto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ingvar Tunander, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Homer FC's Claudemiro Palha got a free kick in the 94th minute. If Bernard Pieprz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match was over PaxTeam FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Homer FC throughout the match.
