Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Armindo Ornelas started the match with the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Armindo Ornelas in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Erasmo Fernendo saved Manhente FC from getting behind. Erasmo Fernendo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armindo Ornelas in the 10th minute of play. Américo Coelho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Teodoro Padilha came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Manhente FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teodoro Padilha couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rubim Peralta during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 17th match minute, Manhente FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rubim Peralta to maneuver through the defense. 20 minutes into the game, Manhente FC's Teodoro Padilha nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Manuel Calado made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. SC Junqueiros's Manuel Calado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teodoro Padilha in the 25th minute of play. In the 26thth minute of the game Teodoro Padilha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Junqueiros's Manuel Calado was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Márcio Brochado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 34th minute Armindo Ornelas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erasmo Fernendo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manhente FC's Cassiano Soeiro managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Aquilino Coutinho in the 51 minute of the game. With a little luck, SC Junqueiros's Manuel Calado got control of the ball when Teodoro Padilha tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hildeberto Peseiro hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. In the 57thth minute of the game Armindo Ornelas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Manhente FC's Erasmo Fernendo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Márcio Brochado in the 58th minute of play forced Manhente FC's goalkeeper Erasmo Fernendo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hildeberto Peseiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erasmo Fernendo having to interfere. Américo Coelho's late challenge caught a SC Junqueiros's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Márcio Brochado charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Márcio Brochado the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee gave Cassiano Soeiro a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 96 played minutes Manhente FC got a freekick which was hit by Cassiano Soeiro. Manhente FC's Rubim Peralta got his second yellow card of the match in the 97th minute. The referee ordered Rubim Peralta off the ground. A collision led to Manhente FC getting a freekick after 98 minutes play. Rubim Peralta hit a great ball. When the match was over Manhente FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than SC Junqueiros throughout the match.
