Adélio Vaz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teodoro Padilha, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. After a defensive mix-up in SC Sabugueiro's zone, Rubim Peralta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adélio Vaz came out of the goal and Rubim Peralta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Teodoro Padilha's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Adélio Vaz was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. After having played for 41 minutes, André Telinhos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Manhente FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but André Telinhos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dimas Calheiros hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Hamilton Fontoura came free with the goalkeeper in the 46th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Erasmo Fernendo could save by the left post. Adélio Vaz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teodoro Padilha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and António Brandão made a kick off. The supporters of Manhente FC booed when SC Sabugueiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. António Brandão didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, SC Sabugueiro's Enzo Madruga got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 77th minute, Américo Coelho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Américo Coelho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Teodoro Padilha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adélio Vaz having to interfere. When Manhente FC's Teodoro Padilha in the 90th minute got a chance for a shot 90th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
