Zarco Couto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Resende in the 10th minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, BoavistaPorto FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alípio Lemos came free, but Dida Yu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, BoavistaPorto FC's Zachariasz Kochniarczyk got a free kick in the 15th minute. Zarco Couto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hugo Resende, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 19th minute Rogério Quadros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zarco Couto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 21st match minute, Homer FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Basílio Cavalcante to maneuver through the defense. Hugo Resende recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zachariasz Kochniarczyk scored 1-1 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zarco Couto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Yuriy Gorbachev struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Zarco Couto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for BoavistaPorto FC. In the 39th minute, Norberto Fraga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 40 minutes into the match, Yuriy Gorbachev had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zarco Couto. Homer FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Yuriy Gorbachev was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. 45 minutes into the match, Rogério Quadros notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Homer FC's Zarco Couto. Zarco Couto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Hugo Resende in the 54th minute of play forced Homer FC's goalkeeper Zarco Couto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yuriy Gorbachev could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Zarco Couto made a huge save. Homer FC's Alípio Lemos got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 60th match minute, BoavistaPorto FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rogério Quadros to maneuver through the defense. Dida Yu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alípio Lemos in the 61st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Homer FC's Hermenegildo Corte-Real got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Rogério Quadros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Zarco Couto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Homer FC's Décio Santos got a free kick in the 68th minute. In the 73rd minute Alípio Lemos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dida Yu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Rogério Quadros kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Zarco Couto. That made the score 1-4 in the 75 minute of play. Dida Yu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Óscar Granja, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 81st minute Norberto Fraga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dida Yu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 85 minutes into the game, Jacob Veríssimo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Homer FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave BoavistaPorto FC the free kick. In the 86th match minute, Homer FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacob Veríssimo to maneuver through the defense. Lourenço Bezerra succeeded in the game's 86th minute to get real power on a long shot . Homer FC's Zarco Couto hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 1-5! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Norberto Fraga during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Homer FC getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Norberto Fraga hit a great ball. BoavistaPorto FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
