The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Zarco Couto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rogério Quadros in the 8th minute. 9 minutes into the match, Hugo Resende notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Homer FC's Zarco Couto. Zarco Couto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Rogério Quadros could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Zarco Couto made a huge save. In the 15th match minute, Homer FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Óscar Granja to maneuver through the defense. In the 22nd minute of the match, Hugo Resende tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Zarco Couto saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Hugo Resende took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Zarco Couto to make any attempt to save it. The supporters of Homer FC booed when BoavistaPorto FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugo Resende didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Jacob Veríssimo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Homer FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jacob Veríssimo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dida Yu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. BoavistaPorto FC's Dida Yu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacob Veríssimo in the 35th minute of play. Alípio Lemos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 44 minutes into the match, Homer FC's goalkeeper Zarco Couto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Yuriy Gorbachev. In the 44th match minute, BoavistaPorto FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hugo Resende to maneuver through the defense. 47 minutes into the game, Rogério Quadros cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Zarco Couto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Jacob Veríssimo made the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Rogério Quadros notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Homer FC's Zarco Couto. Zarco Couto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some careless play in the Homer FC defense, Rogério Quadros kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zarco Couto. The Homer FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zarco Couto should have stopped the shot. After 65 minutes of play, BoavistaPorto FC's Yuriy Gorbachev made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zarco Couto was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Alípio Lemos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 72nd minute, Cláudio Aveiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 75 minutes into the match, BoavistaPorto FC's Yuriy Gorbachev sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zarco Couto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 76 minutes had been played when some careless play by Homer FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Lourenço Bezerra was slow to take the kick. During this time BoavistaPorto FC's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on BoavistaPorto FC's corner Lourenço Bezerra fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Zarco Couto quite easily take care of the ball. A collision led to Homer FC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Hermenegildo Corte-Real hit a great ball. Yuriy Gorbachev spun around in front of the goal 84 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Homer FC's goal. Yuriy Gorbachev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zarco Couto having to interfere. 88 minutes into the match, Homer FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rogério Quadros came free, but Zarco Couto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rogério Quadros in the 90th minute of play forced Homer FC's goalkeeper Zarco Couto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dida Yu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alípio Lemos in the 94th minute of the match. When the referee ended the match the BoavistaPorto FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
