In the 16th match minute, Benficajuvestars was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rob Van den Berch to maneuver through the defense. Dalmacio Nabar took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rui Patrício. Rui Patrício dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 21st minute Salvador Vilas Boas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hermengildo Fiz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 23 minutes into the match, Perlinhas FC's goal looked a bit too open when 魏常适 came free, but Hermengildo Fiz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 25 played minutes Benficajuvestars got a freekick which was hit by Dário Sarmento. Henryk Ernest recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hermengildo Fiz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 魏常适 in the 27th minute of the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Perlinhas FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 32nd minute. Penalty! Benficajuvestars's Rui Patrício played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silverio Osoro in the 38th minute of play. Rui Patrício made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Rafe Almazan sent off a good shot on target. Rui Patrício came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Perlinhas FC's Rafe Almazan. But to his dismay, Rafe Almazan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. In the 43rdth minute of the game Jerry Nykvist who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Perlinhas FC's Hermengildo Fiz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Benficajuvestars's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jerry Nykvist in the 44th minute. 46 minutes into the match, Perlinhas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Zacarias Vilar came free, but Hermengildo Fiz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 47 minutes into the match, Anton Eriksson notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Benficajuvestars's Rui Patrício. Rui Patrício was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Anton Eriksson was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ziemowit Moczkiewicz got free with Hermengildo Fiz in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 57th minute, Silverio Osoro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rui Patrício was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. The attack was good, but when Ziemowit Moczkiewicz in the 60th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. After 94 played minutes Jerry Nykvist shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for Perlinhas FC's Hermengildo Fiz to catch but Jerry Nykvist was lucky. It became 4-4 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. The supporters of Perlinhas FC booed when Benficajuvestars was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dário Sarmento didn't get a good kick on the ball. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
