Miramar's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Salvador Vilas Boas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Celso Mesquita kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Miramar's Carlos Calheiros managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Rubim Ramires in the 13 minute of the game. 15 minutes into the match, Ziemowit Moczkiewicz notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Miramar's Durval Matos. Durval Matos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Durval Matos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Salvador Vilas Boas in the 19th minute of the match. Rui Patrício made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Artur Moita in the 21st minute of play. 23 minutes into the game, Benficajuvestars's Salvador Vilas Boas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Durval Matos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. After a defensive mix-up in Miramar's zone, Salvador Vilas Boas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Durval Matos came out of the goal and Salvador Vilas Boas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by 魏常适 in the 28th minute of play forced Miramar's goalkeeper Durval Matos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Durval Matos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jerry Nykvist in the 30th minute of the match. After having played for 31 minutes, Rob Van den Berch managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Benficajuvestars's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rob Van den Berch was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 7-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Artur Moita to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Salvador Vilas Boas made a precise shot to the right of Durval Matos. Miramar's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-0. António Amorim's late challenge caught a Benficajuvestars's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. António Amorim helped the player get up and apologised. In the 56th minute, António Amorim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Durval Matos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 魏常适, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Miramar's Durval Matos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 魏常适 in the 66th minute of play. The Miramar fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Durval Matos should have stopped the shot. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Benficajuvestars fully deserved thier win.
