Palmiro Madruga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 11 minutes into the match, Paços de Ferreira's goal looked a bit too open when Teófilo Caeiro came free, but Afonso Vasconcelos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Teófilo Caeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. António Vilhena struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Afonso Vasconcelos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for dice - ALFAIA SEMPRE-FLF. 18 minutes into the game, Viriato Vaz recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Palmiro Madruga. Viriato Vaz showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Mariano Assunção's late challenge caught a dice - ALFAIA SEMPRE-FLF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mariano Assunção helped the player get up and apologised. Mariano Assunção hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. When Paços de Ferreira's Mariano Assunção in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. He walked away shaking his head. Mariano Assunção sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Paços de Ferreira's zone, António Vilhena stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Afonso Vasconcelos came out of the goal and António Vilhena tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 46 played minutes Paços de Ferreira got a freekick which was hit by Viriato Vaz. Afonso Vasconcelos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from António Vilhena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Teófilo Caeiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute of the match Abílio Curado shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Palmiro Madruga showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 56 minutes in the game, Teófilo Caeiro fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Afonso Vasconcelos having to interfere. After 57 played minutes Paços de Ferreira got a freekick which was hit by Valério Maciel. Rui Madeira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Afonso Vasconcelos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teófilo Caeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 72nd minute Teófilo Caeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonso Vasconcelos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Teófilo Caeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 76th minute, António Vilhena got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Teófilo Caeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Afonso Vasconcelos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Teófilo Caeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Paços de Ferreira's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
