Pascoal Jesus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Artur Moita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 21st minute Miramar were awarded a corner. António Amorim went to the cornerflag to take it. The supporters of Mogadourense A. C. booed when Miramar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Durval Matos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hermes Bezerra in the 38th minute of the match. 40 minutes into the game, Celso Mesquita was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Miramar's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mogadourense A. C. the free kick. Celso Mesquita in the 43rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Pascoal Jesus, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 47 minutes of play, Mogadourense A. C.'s Miguel Milio made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Durval Matos was left in no man's land by his defense there!

The audience was convinced that Artur Moita's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pascoal Jesus was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet as Mogadourense A. C.'s Miguel Milio slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Durval Matos. That made the score 0-7 after 69 minutes of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alcino Garcia during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 75 played minutes Miramar got a freekick which was hit by Alcino Garcia. If Teófilo Freire had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Hermes Bezerra received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Durval Matos came out and tried to block the shot, but Hermes Bezerra slotted it home off the left post making it 0-8 in the 78th minute. 81 minutes into the match, Mogadourense A. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Celso Mesquita came free, but Pascoal Jesus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
