Gaspar Linhares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Galaxy's goalkeeper Tomás Rebocho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Silvano Simões took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Tomás Rebocho to make any attempt to save it. In the 21st minute of the match, Silvano Simões tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Tomás Rebocho saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 23rd minute, Aveiro FC's Silvano Simões ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Tomás Rebocho. Tomás Rebocho yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Gaspar Linhares succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-0 in the 28th playminute. A collision led to FC Galaxy getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Gunnar Hellgren hit a great ball. The audience held their breath when Amado Macena in the 35th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Tomás Rebocho's left hand side. The crowd rose to their feet as Silvano Simões kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tomás Rebocho. That made the score 4-0 in the 37 minute of play. Silvano Simões took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tomás Rebocho. Tomás Rebocho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. After 43 played minutes Aveiro FC got a freekick which was hit by Egídio Sarmento. Tiago Ventura hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sílvio Peralta to make the kick off. Tiago Ventura took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tomás Rebocho. Tomás Rebocho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. The audience was convinced that Gaspar Linhares's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tomás Rebocho was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. In the 60th minute, Silvano Simões ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tomás Rebocho was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. Gaspar Linhares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 64 minutes into the match, Gaspar Linhares notched a goal, 8-0, to the right of FC Galaxy's Tomás Rebocho. Tomás Rebocho was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Silvano Simões struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Tomás Rebocho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aveiro FC. FC Galaxy's Tomás Rebocho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando Rijo in the 72nd minute of play. If Silvano Simões had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomás Rebocho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaspar Linhares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tomás Rebocho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaspar Linhares, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. In the 80th minute, Silvano Simões left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Aveiro FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 9-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaspar Linhares in the 82nd minute of play forced FC Galaxy's goalkeeper Tomás Rebocho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 84 minutes into the game, one of FC Galaxy:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Aveiro FC a penalty, 85 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Amado Macena, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of FC Galaxy's Tomás Rebocho. 10-0. 88 minutes into the game, Aveiro FC's Silvano Simões nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tomás Rebocho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 11-0. Tomás Rebocho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvano Simões in the 92nd minute of play. 95 minutes into the game, Silvano Simões cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 13-0. Tomás Rebocho was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 99 played minutes Aveiro FC got a freekick which was hit by Vicente Quintanilha. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Aveiro FC fully deserved thier win.
