If Virgílio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 10 minutes into the game, B.Z. F.C.'s Virgílio Costa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Diamantino Monsanto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Joaquim Teixeira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Diamantino Monsanto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 15th minute, Virgílio Costa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Rebordosa AC defense, Virgílio Costa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Diamantino Monsanto. The Rebordosa AC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Diamantino Monsanto should have stopped the shot. 19 minutes into the match, Rebordosa AC's goal looked a bit too open when Virgílio Costa came free, but Diamantino Monsanto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 19th minute Virgílio Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diamantino Monsanto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Virgílio Costa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Diamantino Monsanto was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. 22 minutes had been played when some careless play by Rebordosa AC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. José Guilherme was slow to take the kick. During this time B.Z. F.C.'s players had a chance to rest. It was a well-played corner which Caetano Cardoso managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Paulo Teles made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Irinel Pelin sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Virgílio Costa in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Diamantino Monsanto saved Rebordosa AC from getting behind. Diamantino Monsanto came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by B.Z. F.C.'s Virgílio Costa. But to his dismay, Virgílio Costa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Irinel Pelin kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Diamantino Monsanto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Virgílio Costa in the 39th minute of the match. After 40 played minutes B.Z. F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Augusto Belém. In the 44thth minute of the game Virgílio Costa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rebordosa AC's Diamantino Monsanto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, José Guilherme managed to get in a good position for a shot. B.Z. F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but José Guilherme was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Diamantino Monsanto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rafael Quirze got free with Paulo Teles in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Virgílio Costa made a kick off. Diamantino Monsanto had great luck who in the 52ndth minute grab hold of the ball when Virgílio Costa from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. After 52 played minutes Rebordosa AC got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Palmeira. 55 minutes into the match, Virgílio Costa dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Diamantino Monsanto, 0-4. In the 59th minute, B.Z. F.C.'s Virgílio Costa ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Diamantino Monsanto. Diamantino Monsanto yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. Virgílio Costa in the 63rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Diamantino Monsanto, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Diamantino Monsanto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joaquim Teixeira went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. In the 76th minute, Virgílio Costa made a precise shot to the right of Diamantino Monsanto. Rebordosa AC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-7. If Valério Vides had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Diamantino Monsanto made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Valério Vides sent off a good shot on target. After 87 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Rebordosa AC! The referee gave B.Z. F.C. a penalty, 90 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Valério Vides, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Rebordosa AC's Diamantino Monsanto. 0-8. Irinel Pelin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Virgílio Costa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Diamantino Monsanto was relentless in the 96th minute of the game.
