Spectators: 7983 (Terracing: 5988, Seating: 1836, VIP seats: 159) Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alex Mendes in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Abílio Varanda prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 11 minutes into the game, Nuno Eanes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Iker Peru was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Renato Bacelar fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Aveleiras's protests and gave Renato Bacelar a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Samorim FC booed when Aveleiras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Renato Bacelar didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Aveleiras's Renato Bacelar got a free kick in the 16th minute. After some careless play in the Aveleiras defense, Xavier Neiva kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Abílio Varanda. The Aveleiras fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Abílio Varanda should have stopped the shot. Nuno Eanes struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Iker Peru didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aveleiras. Abílio Moutinho kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. After 30 played minutes Samorim FC got a freekick which was hit by Joaquim Amado. In the 33rd minute Juvenal Borges shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iker Peru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abílio Varanda was a little too slow when Alex Mendes got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 36th minute. The score was now 2-1. Xavier Neiva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Samorim FC's Xavier Neiva in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Aveleiras's goalie prevented a goal. Iker Peru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nuno Eanes in the 46th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Inácio Abrantes to make the kick off. Iker Peru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Renato Bacelar in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 54th minute, Xavier Neiva made a precise shot to the right of Abílio Varanda. Aveleiras's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Iker Peru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Inácio Abrantes in the 62nd minute of play. 4-1 became the score in the 64th minute when Xavier Neiva elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Alex Mendes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Abílio Varanda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aveleiras's Abílio Varanda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xavier Neiva in the 70th minute of play. After 71 minutes, Abílio Moutinho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Aveleiras and the Samorim FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Aveleiras's Abílio Moutinho got a free kick in the 71st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xavier Neiva in the 72nd minute of play forced Aveleiras's goalkeeper Abílio Varanda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 76th minute, Alex Mendes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Iker Peru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Inácio Abrantes, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute.
