Alfredo Lima showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fulgencio Emenon, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edvin Trulsson in the 16th minute of play forced FC Nação Portuguesa's goalkeeper Vinicio Gutierrez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 17th minute, Leal Garcez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 18 minutes, Fulgencio Emenon made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fulgencio Emenon in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alfredo Lima prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alfredo Lima took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vladimiro Infante, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angélico Castelo Branco in the 41st minute of play forced FC Nação Portuguesa's goalkeeper Vinicio Gutierrez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fulgencio Emenon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alfredo Lima didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fábio Furtado went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-2 was the resulting score. 64 minutes into the match, LINHAGEM FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fulgencio Emenon came free, but Alfredo Lima reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vinicio Gutierrez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chumo Resines in the 65th minute of the match. The supporters of LINHAGEM FC booed when FC Nação Portuguesa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Vilalobos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leal Garcez kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. 86 minutes into the match, FC Nação Portuguesa's goalkeeper Vinicio Gutierrez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eric Löfgren. 88 minutes into the game, Edvin Trulsson recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Vinicio Gutierrez. Edvin Trulsson showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 5-3. In the 92nd minute, Roberto Carreira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With an all-out effort, LINHAGEM FC's Vinicio Gutierrez threw himself towards the right post 94 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Angélico Castelo Branco, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 95 minutes into the match, Edvin Trulsson notched a goal, 5-4, to the right of FC Nação Portuguesa's Vinicio Gutierrez. Vinicio Gutierrez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the referee blew the final whistle, FC Nação Portuguesa could leave the field as winners, despite LINHAGEM FC having more of the ball for most of the match.
