Hermes Cruz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. 24 minutes into the game, pianurese's Sidónio Ribas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hermes Cruz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. The supporters of pianurese booed when Almada was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cândido Eiró didn't get a good kick on the ball. The pianurese fans' excitement grew in the 28th match minute when pianurese's Sidónio Ribas looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 36 minutes into the game, pianurese's Sidónio Ribas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hermes Cruz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-7. 42 minutes into the match, Sidónio Ribas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hermes Cruz. Almada's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sidónio Ribas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-8. Sidónio Ribas might have been able to make a better finish in the 48th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hermes Cruz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sidónio Ribas ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 48thth minute of the game Saúl Bulhosa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Almada's Hermes Cruz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After the first half pianurese were leading 0-8. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Hermes Cruz stood somewhat misplaced when Sidónio Ribas came free in front of goal and shot 0-9 to the left of him in the 52 minute. When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Sidónio Ribas put it in 0-10 from a short distance just to the right of Hermes Cruz. The crowd rose to their feet as Manuel Chagas kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Hermes Cruz. That made the score 0-11 in the 59 minute of play. Manuel Chagas's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 62ndth minute, Hermes Cruz skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Almada's Hermes Cruz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Almada from getting a goal against them. Saúl Bulhosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sidónio Ribas got free with Hermes Cruz in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hermes Cruz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Manuel Chagas went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-13 was the resulting score. Hermes Cruz didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when pianurese's Sidónio Ribas shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-14 in the ordered_time% minute. After 85th play minutes Sidónio Ribas shot 0-15, a short shot which went by Hermes Cruz and just under the crossbar into goal. Hermes Cruz came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by pianurese's Manuel Chagas. But to his dismay, Manuel Chagas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-16. After 93 minutes of play, pianurese's Sidónio Ribas made it 0-17 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hermes Cruz was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Almada's Luís Caires got a free kick in the 97th minute. Sidónio Ribas took the ball and in the 98 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hermes Cruz. Hermes Cruz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-18. pianurese played a much better game than Almada and deserved their victory. The Almada players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
