If Ulizes Boldu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 19 minutes into the match, Green Lion's goal looked a bit too open when João Lobato came free, but Simão Colaço reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hermes Cruz was a little too slow when António Magalhães got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 20th minute. The score was now 2-0. In the 22nd minute, Ulizes Boldu made a precise shot to the right of Hermes Cruz. Almada's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. 29 minutes into the match, Henrique Durães had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hermes Cruz. Almada's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Henrique Durães was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ulizes Boldu in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hermes Cruz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Victor Sudarsono might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hermes Cruz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Victor Sudarsono ran back to his position shaking his head. Hermes Cruz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ulizes Boldu's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. After some careless play in the Almada defense, Henrique Durães kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hermes Cruz. The Almada fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hermes Cruz should have stopped the shot. Simão Colaço showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cândido Eiró in the 46th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 6-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ulizes Boldu to make the kick off. Hermes Cruz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victor Sudarsono, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. When the match clock showed 58 minutes, the score became 7-0 when Ulizes Boldu sped through Almada's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Hermes Cruz. 63 minutes into the game, Viriato Fonseca was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Green Lion's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Almada the free kick.
