Spectators: 7545 (Terracing: 5600, Seating: 1845, VIP seats: 100) SC Azinhaleite's Emanuel Telinhos started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Armando Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Telinhos in the 15th minute of play forced R.M fc's goalkeeper Osvaldo Prada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 16th minute, Hélder Santos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the R.M fc defense, Hélder Santos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Osvaldo Prada. The R.M fc fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Osvaldo Prada should have stopped the shot. Hélder Santos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Salvador Lameiras managed to get in a good position for a shot. R.M fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Salvador Lameiras was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benedito Tomé breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Jorge Quintanilha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jorge Quintanilha made a kick off. Benedito Tomé came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by R.M fc's Jorge Quintanilha. But to his dismay, Jorge Quintanilha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Osvaldo Prada showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuel Telinhos, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Benedito Tomé made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Quintanilha in the 66th minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Teófilo Furtado in the 68th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by R.M fc's Ismael Honrio. In the 70th minute, Salvador Lameiras left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The R.M fc fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Gustavo Leite hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Salvador Lameiras managed to get in a good position for a shot. R.M fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Salvador Lameiras was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. In the 87thth minute of the game Jorge Quintanilha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Azinhaleite's Benedito Tomé was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 88th minute of the match, Hélder Santos got a very nice opportunity to score, but Osvaldo Prada was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 89th minute, Gastão Bragança hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
