Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adalberto Monteiro in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Albertino Assis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Remigiusz Majtyka received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Albertino Assis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Albertino Assis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adalberto Monteiro's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. In the 25th minute, Adalberto Monteiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Albertino Assis was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. In the 30th minute Rogério Vilas Boas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albertino Assis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Adalberto Monteiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Albertino Assis was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. Dário Rodrigues charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Pardilho FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rogério Vilas Boas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Pardilho FC's Remigiusz Majtyka slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Albertino Assis. That made the score 0-5 after 60 minutes of play. João Matos who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 66thth minute tested the skills of Albertino Assis when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Albertino Assis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Matos in the 68th minute of play. Angélico Rodrigues struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Murilo Passos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Santos FC. After a defensive mix-up in Santos FC's zone, João Matos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albertino Assis came out of the goal and João Matos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Albertino Assis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adalberto Monteiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Pardilho FC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Rogério Barcelos hit a great ball. Pardilho FC's Adalberto Monteiro was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 78th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Inácio Henriques during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
