Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Angélico Caneira to make the kick off. SC Pousadouros's Gil Cerqueira pulled a muscle in his leg after 97 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Altino Baião charged in rather forcefully in the 97th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Altino Baião the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Altino Baião hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angélico Caneira in the 101st minute of play forced ARC Valdevez's goalkeeper Paulino Abrantes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
