Spectators: 6010 (Terracing: 4500, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 10) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Fernando Aguilera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nuno Porto in the 12th minute of the match. Fernando Aguilera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joaquim Matos's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. Serafim Aragão charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Serafim Aragão the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 18th minute, Serafim Aragão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Olívio Casado was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 19th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Fernando Aguilera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquim Matos, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. S.L.Benfica's Fernando Aguilera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nuno Porto in the 24th minute of play. After a rather tough play, S.L.Benfica's Silvestre Castelo Branco got a free kick in the 28th minute. 31 minutes into the match, S.L.Benfica's goal looked a bit too open when Josué Esparteiro came free, but Fernando Aguilera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fernando Aguilera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nuno Porto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fernando Aguilera came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Lofi Girl Portimao's Nuno Porto. But to his dismay, Nuno Porto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Fernando Aguilera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joaquim Matos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 45th minute of the game Zeferino Valido made a throw-in which Joaquim Matos played forward. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Silvestre Castelo Branco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Afonso Mourato showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvestre Castelo Branco in the 54th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adam George during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 55 played minutes Lofi Girl Portimao got a freekick which was hit by Adam George. 58 minutes into the match, S.L.Benfica's goalkeeper Fernando Aguilera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Josué Esparteiro. After 60 played minutes S.L.Benfica got a freekick which was hit by Olívio Casado. The throw-in from Adam George in the 63rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by S.L.Benfica's Tarcísio Teves. In the 64th minute Tarcísio Teves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonso Mourato saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 65th minute, Nuno Porto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fernando Aguilera was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. If Tarcísio Teves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 74 minutes into the match, S.L.Benfica's goalkeeper Fernando Aguilera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carlos Melo. In the 75th minute, Olívio Casado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the S.L.Benfica defense, Joaquim Matos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fernando Aguilera. The S.L.Benfica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fernando Aguilera should have stopped the shot. S.L.Benfica's Tarcísio Teves managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Zeferino Valido in the 84 minute of the game. Silvestre Castelo Branco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonso Mourato having to interfere. In the 88th match minute, Lofi Girl Portimao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adam George to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, S.L.Benfica's Fernando Aguilera got control of the ball when Joaquim Matos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Adam George hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. The Lofi Girl Portimao players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
