Alexandre Fiúza scored 0-1 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Francisco Pinho, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 18th minute, Rui Amaro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Petruț Miulescu to strike the kick off in the second half.
