Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lourenço Pereira in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Catarino Furtado prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Teófilo Sabrosa to strike the kick off in the second half. When Isidro Casado fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored PIQÕES FC's protests and gave Isidro Casado a yellow card for diving instead. Lourenço Pereira struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Catarino Furtado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PIQÕES FC. Aprígio Sales's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cyryl Siwek read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. In the 70th minute, Lourenço Pereira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Catarino Furtado was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. When the match had gone on for 76 minutes, Teófilo Sabrosa put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Catarino Furtado. After 90 minutes of play, PIQÕES FC's Lourenço Pereira made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Catarino Furtado was left in no man's land by his defense there! PIQÕES FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
