Rúben Caldeira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Ricardo Assis made a huge save. The supporters of S. L. Sousel booed when CD Pinhalnovense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Pinhal didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Gaspar in the 40th minute of play forced CD Pinhalnovense's goalkeeper Ixaka Barcaiztegui to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. André Gaspar scored 3-2 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ixaka Barcaiztegui, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Igor Pimentels short, quick shot in the 45thth minute got Ricardo Assis to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Sousel's goal looked a bit too open when Rúben Caldeira came free, but Ricardo Assis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 85 minutes S. L. Sousel's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Carvalho who took care of the corner kick. 90 minutes into the match, CD Pinhalnovense's goalkeeper Ixaka Barcaiztegui had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Valentim Carreira. CD Pinhalnovense's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
