An unexpectedly hard shot by Aristides Saraiva in the 8th minute of play forced LFC's goalkeeper Romão Padilha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Álvaro Veloso hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Romão Padilha came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Valcerto's Aristides Saraiva. But to his dismay, Aristides Saraiva quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Valcerto's zone, André Semedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gentil Vital came out of the goal and André Semedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 18th minute Severiano Assis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gentil Vital saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Romão Padilha stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomás Laureano's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. If André Semedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 37 minutes of play, Valcerto's Aristides Saraiva made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Romão Padilha was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Valcerto getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Aristides Saraiva hit a great ball. Damião Couto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The wind increased when Damião Couto made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, LFC's Damião Couto got a free kick in the 50th minute. In the 53rd minute, Aristides Saraiva ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Romão Padilha was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Juliano Lessa hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. In the 57th minute, Aquilino Bento got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Valcerto fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gentil Vital should have stopped the shot. Damião Couto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gentil Vital read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 90th minute of the game. One of LFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Valcerto:s goal. Aristides Saraiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Romão Padilha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Valcerto's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
