Erubiel Chorche received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. David Braga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Honorato Alves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Basílio Vilas Boas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 9 minutes into the game, Carlos Meireles lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated David Braga. Arno Juur's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Honorato Alves read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. After 14 minutes of play, SC Angrense's Carlos Meireles made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. David Braga was left in no man's land by his defense there! Erubiel Chorche recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 21st minute Carlos Meireles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Braga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Honorato Alves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Basílio Vilas Boas, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Mladen Kertov's late challenge caught a Vietname United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mladen Kertov helped the player get up and apologised. After 26 played minutes SC Angrense got a freekick which was hit by Mladen Kertov. After 27 played minutes, Vietname United's Lázaro Alcântara shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Honorato Alves came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Vietname United reached it. Erubiel Chorche received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. David Braga came out and tried to block the shot, but Erubiel Chorche slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 33rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carlos Meireles in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck David Braga prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Carlos Meireles might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over David Braga. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Carlos Meireles ran back to his position shaking his head. David Braga stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carlos Meireles's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. When the match had gone on for 45 minutes, Carlos Meireles put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of David Braga. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Meireles in the 62nd minute of play forced Vietname United's goalkeeper David Braga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. David Braga stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carlos Meireles's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. Manuel Leme charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Manuel Leme the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, SC Angrense's Manuel Leme got a free kick in the 66th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arno Juur in the 74th minute of play forced SC Angrense's goalkeeper Honorato Alves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 76th minute Carlos Meireles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Braga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 80th match minute, SC Angrense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Meireles to maneuver through the defense. After 83 minutes SC Angrense's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Lázaro Alcântara who took care of the corner kick. 86 minutes into the match, Vietname United's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Meireles came free, but David Braga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 89th minute, Saúl Cavaco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Vietname United booed when SC Angrense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Meireles didn't get a good kick on the ball. SC Angrense's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
