The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ramiro Gueifão kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. In the 11th minute of the match, André Bomba got a very nice opportunity to score, but Leif Lönn was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Cüneyd Bektaş made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kent Lindkvist in the 15th minute of play. The supporters of Machada FC booed when G.D.Pedorido was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. André Távora didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Leif Lönn managed to avoid a goal in the 19thth minute, when Machada FC's André Bomba fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 20thth minute of the game Kent Lindkvist who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Machada FC's Cüneyd Bektaş was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 21 played minutes G.D.Pedorido got a freekick which was hit by Lisandro Mansilha. Alberto Portugal took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 22nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Leif Lönn. G.D.Pedorido's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The G.D.Pedorido fans' excitement grew in the 25th match minute when G.D.Pedorido's Kent Lindkvist looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severino Madruga in the 28th minute of play forced G.D.Pedorido's goalkeeper Leif Lönn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 29 played minutes André Bomba rounded G.D.Pedorido's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-2. 36 minutes into the match, G.D.Pedorido's goalkeeper Leif Lönn had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by André Bomba. Cüneyd Bektaş showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kent Lindkvist in the 38th minute of the match. Abílio Pessoa's late challenge caught a Machada FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Abílio Pessoa helped the player get up and apologised. In the 39th match minute, G.D.Pedorido was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abílio Pessoa to maneuver through the defense. 40 minutes into the game, Severino Madruga recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Leif Lönn. Severino Madruga showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. In the 46th match minute, Machada FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramiro Gueifão to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, G.D.Pedorido's Leif Lönn got control of the ball when André Bomba tried to sneak it across the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Severino Madruga to strike the kick off in the second half. The Machada FC fans' excitement grew in the 53rd match minute when Machada FC's Severino Madruga looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. After 80 played minutes G.D.Pedorido got a freekick which was hit by Abílio Pessoa. Leif Lönn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Severino Madruga, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. 82 minutes into the match, Alberto Portugal notched a goal, 6-2, to the right of G.D.Pedorido's Leif Lönn. Leif Lönn was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Leif Lönn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from André Bomba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 91 minutes into the match, Severino Madruga had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leif Lönn. G.D.Pedorido's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Severino Madruga was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-2. Cüneyd Bektaş made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kent Lindkvist in the 95th minute. Abílio Pessoa got his second yellow card in the match during the 95th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 96 played minutes G.D.Pedorido got a freekick which was hit by Abílio Pessoa.
