António Medeiros made in the 46th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Machada FC's Timóteo Camargo. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Lázaro Alcântara managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vietname United's supporters rose to their feet, but Lázaro Alcântara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cüneyd Bektaş breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Andaka Rääbis to make the kick off. After 51 played minutes Vietname United got a freekick which was hit by Basílio Vilas Boas. David Braga didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alberto Portugal went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. David Braga was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. José Pimentel made in the 73rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Andaka Rääbis however managed to control. If Severino Madruga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Vietname United getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Jacob Machado hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Severino Madruga in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg David Braga saved Vietname United from getting behind. In the 88thth minute of the game Severino Madruga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vietname United's David Braga was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 88 minutes, the score became 9-0 when Severino Madruga sped through Vietname United's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of David Braga.
