An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudemiro Lobato in the 16th minute of play forced Marialva S.C.'s goalkeeper Fernando Tinoco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cândido Ribeiro's late challenge caught a AmarSul Futebol Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. AmarSul Futebol Clube's Ricardo Coimbra proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save AmarSul Futebol Clube from getting a goal against them. Through an outstanding action, after 40 minutes, Ricardo Coimbra successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Ernst Günther struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Ricardo Coimbra didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Marialva S.C.. Aloísio Regueira lost his temper 43 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After a rather tough play, AmarSul Futebol Clube's Aloísio Regueira got a free kick in the 44th minute. If Guilherme Madureira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Ricardo Coimbra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reginaldo Cordeiro in the 53rd minute of the match. Pablo Sarabia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Coimbra having to interfere. Fernando Tinoco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guilherme Madureira in the 91st minute of the match. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Marialva S.C. had played much better football throughout.
