Caio Taveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zachary Paraszczuk in the 5th minute of the match. 6 minutes into the game, IOL's Celso Sobral nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Caio Taveira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Caio Taveira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Celso Sobral's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. Hermínio Parente hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. 16 minutes in the game, Zachary Paraszczuk dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Celso Sobral received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Caio Taveira came out and tried to block the shot, but Celso Sobral slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 18th minute. Diogo Laureano charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Diogo Laureano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of IOL booed when SLbenfica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diogo Laureano didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, IOL's Jörn Arenstedt got a free kick in the 21st minute. Sabino Marques took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Avelino Martins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Celso Sobral who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 27thth minute tested the skills of Caio Taveira when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 29 minutes into the match, IOL's goal looked a bit too open when Avelino Martins came free, but Sabino Marques reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sabino Marques showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Avelino Martins in the 30th minute of the match. In the 31st minute Celso Sobral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Caio Taveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zachary Paraszczuk in the 33rd minute of play forced SLbenfica's goalkeeper Caio Taveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 34 minutes, Avelino Martins managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SLbenfica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Avelino Martins was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 36 minutes into the match, SLbenfica's goal looked a bit too open when Celso Sobral came free, but Caio Taveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Jaime Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot. SLbenfica's supporters rose to their feet, but Jaime Costa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sabino Marques breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 41st minute IOL were awarded a corner. Celso Sobral went to the cornerflag to take it. João Sequeira tried in the game's 41st match minute to clear up in front of his own goal but it went so bad that he put the ball into the goal to the left of an unhappy Caio Taveira. An annoying self made goal, 3-0. Avelino Martins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Sabino Marques tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hélio Ventura hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. In the 48th minute of the match Hermínio Parente shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sabino Marques showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

In the 55th minute Celso Sobral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Caio Taveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SLbenfica's Caio Taveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celso Sobral in the 58th minute of play. In the 62nd minute Zachary Paraszczuk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Caio Taveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jaime Costa struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Sabino Marques didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SLbenfica. After a rather tough play, IOL's Hélio Ventura got a free kick in the 70th minute. Caio Taveira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zachary Paraszczuk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Caio Taveira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romão Neves in the 77th minute of play. The supporters of IOL booed when SLbenfica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Apostolikas Gialesakis didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 79 minutes of play, IOL's Celso Sobral made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Caio Taveira was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sabino Marques didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Avelino Martins went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. Celso Sobral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Caio Taveira having to interfere. Jaime Costa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Caio Taveira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celso Sobral, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. After a rather tough play, IOL's Hélio Ventura got a free kick in the 92nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Avelino Martins got free with Sabino Marques in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 94th minute Celso Sobral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Caio Taveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. IOL had played much better football throughout.
